Netflix Orders Coming of YA Series ‘Ginny and Georgia,’ Sets Main Cast!

How can you get older and move forward when your past keeps running to catch up with you? However, it is the central question at Ginny & Georgia’s guts, an upcoming Netflix YA series, and a few 15-year-old girl named Ginny.

Her overly cheerful mother named Georgia, and their attempts to finally live a traditional life. The dual-coming-of-age series features a release date, February 24, 2021, and its first slate of images below.

Overall, Netflix is giving a set of 10-episode order to the coming aged series “Ginny & Georgia” starring Brianne Howey of “The Passage” and newcomer Antonia Gentry.

The hour-long young adult series will star Gentry (“Candy Jar”) as Ginny and Howey as her mother, Georgia.

Storylines

The series comes from first-time creator Sarah Lampert and first-time showrunner Debra J. Fisher, with Anya Adams of “Glow” and “Black-ish” directing the primary two episodes.

According to Netflix, “Ginny & Georgia” follows angsty and awkward fifteen-year-old Ginny Miller (Gentry). She often feels more senior and mature than her thirty-year-old mother. She is an irresistible and dynamic personality name as Georgia Miller (Howey).

Georgia earnestly wants to place down roots in picturesque New England after years on the run. She provides her family, something they’ve never had a traditional life.

However, it means navigating a prestigious school, sophisticated love interests, and rising popularity.

But it’s not all carpool and Kombucha as Georgia’s past threatens her and her family’s new way of life.

Antonia Gentry (Netflix’s Candy Jar) stars as Ginny, the awkward, unsure teenage daughter trying to work herself out.

Brianne Howey (Batwoman) stars as Georgia, the leaps-before-she-looks young mother.

The two have recently moved to New England in hopes of a more stable life, but instability seems to possess how of finding Georgia.
